All non-profit and non-government organizations need money to survive and pursue the cause upon which they have been founded. Political parties do not have any source which earns money for them. All parties need money to spend during election campaigns. Fundraising is an effective tool available which is used worldwide for raising money from donations. There are many special courses are available for the people who are interested in fundraising activities. Apart from courses, there are many specialized consulting organizations to design the fundraising campaigns. It is like any other marketing campaigns where a great research is completed to identify the groups and companies which would offer money. The fundraising has become a career choice for many because of its difficult nature and experienced fundraisers are in great demand always. They may or may not have targets for fund limits to be achieved during the month or campaign.
The money raised from campaigns is spent on various causes. A political party selects and contacts businessmen who can offer large money. In many cases, a businessman may see his future needs and commits good amount of money to be invested into particular ideology or political leader. In case of NGOs, it money is spent on various causes like feeding poor people in third-world countries or saving whales in sea. There are many NGOs like CRY, Green Peace which have been doing good work in their chosen field. These NGOs have many programs running in different parts of the world. World bank and many governments keep some funds safe which donated to these organizations through the fundraising programs. Yes, religious groups also need money to spread the thoughts and messages of particular ideology. The fundraisers target the individual and business houses which can pledge good amount of money. Some times common cause like global warming, makes fundraising easier because it concerns many people in the world.
